As the sun recently decided to show it’s overdue face, we finally made it out of town to shoot the video for ‘Everything you know is lost, but us’.
(NB. Last time we said we were going to do this, we didn’t due to said belated sun and other various reasons)
Without giving anything away, aside from the shots I have posted above, we managed to get the whole video finished in the day and are really stoked on the outcome. For now, we hand all control over the the wonderful filming team and await the final edit to make its way back to us. Expect some news regarding the release of the video to appear as and when we find out ourselves.
A big thanks to Steve (the actor), Dino and Ben for their hard work on the day.L x
We’re currently having some post-tour downtime so things will go a little quiet in the Holland camp. We will have some show/video/other announcements to… well, announce in the near future. While you wait, you can still hear the whole of our new record for free on bandcamp, and its also up for sale there too x
Tour is Dead! Long live tour!
Alright, so maybe I am being a little melodramatic there, but tour was pretty great! And I know for a fact that the post-tour blues has got us all in a firm grip right now. I say this, whilst drinking my second ‘afternoon beer’, but maybe that’s my own problem…I jest.
I will keep this post tour report nice and short, to save you from reading my ramblings. I will instead follow with a few choice visuals from my camera, because everyone prefers visuals these days right?
So…
Since my ‘half way through’ little tour update from the cold seat in the van, I can certainly say that tour took a very strange turn. I had a birthday, Jason lost a tooth and as you are aware, we lost our most trusted of allies, VANdy. A lot happened in only a few days, but it did not detract from any of the fun of the tour. I must say, both Sunderland (birthday/tooth incident) and Glasgow were two of my favourite shows of the tour. Sunderland for obvious reasons and Glasgow, well, because Flat 0/1 is possibly the raddest venue of all. If you are unfamiliar with it, then check it out.
On our way back from the Glasgow show VANdy spat out his last breath and we, barely, made the hard shoulder of the road before he gave up the ghost. What we first though was a simple and easy fix turned out to be terminal. So we had to get towed back home, from Carlisle to Brighton. Missing the Manchester show on the way. For that we are so very sorry and hope to get up to you as soon as we can. 22 hours and a near death experience later and we made it home, with some time to spare before the final send off of tour with our first home show in over 6 months. And Brighton did not disappoint either, you helped us finish tour on a massive high and we thank you greatly for that.
I would like to say a massive thanks to the Cut Ribbons guys, because without them it would not have been the same and we had a great time getting to know you all. We cant wait to see/play with you again. Also, Sam Irvine and Matt Fiddler for handling bass duties. You saved our skins and we can’t thank you enough. And most definitely all those that came out to see a show and bought merch from us.
also Steve.

So…this happening.
Our (until now) trusty road beast, VANdy Peters, has died on the side of the road on the M6 en route to Manchester. Because of this we are having to get taken all the way home to Brighton and will have to miss out on tonight’s show in Manchester. We extend out apologies to everyone who wanted to come and catch us, to the promoter and of course our brothers in arms on this tour Cut Ribbons.
We hope to make it back up to Manchester soon. However we will still be playing the Brighton show on Tuesday.
Lame, Luke.
